At long last, book one of the Sovereign Soul series, Akin Minds, is being released this month!
It’s been a long road for this one. I first set to republishing it two years ago. After arranging to send it in, I decided to check it over one last time – my last chance to make sure it was good. Suddenly I was rewriting lines, then I added something here and there, and… well. Here I am.
Akin Minds is now 750 pages, sitting at a word count of 269,000 words. To compare, the old version was 473 pages and 215,565 words. It’s substantially bigger, which is usually not a good thing for a first-time author. But, rather than try to strip my book of content, I chose to trust it. It may not go well for me, and I strongly recommend other first-time authors against doing such a thing.
So, here it goes. This month, it’ll be available, and I’ll have copies of my own. Stay tuned for some more posts. As I get further along, more content will appear on this site to do with the published book and the workings of Book Two: The Serpent Empire (tentative title).
