Hello! Returning to you now with a character introduction – a fan favorite of Sovereign Soul Book 2, Kai Stele!
Kai is a complete and total ‘ladies man’ and actor from the world of Brooklyn. Having run away from his father and joined a famous acting troupe at a young age, Kai lives in a shroud of alcohol, drugs, and denial until his play is crashed in Act Two: Angel Destined.
In an attempt to try and appease the injured emperor, Lancet Cooper and Roland Demizen attempt to snatch up Kai, a man known throughout Brooklyn as ‘the Angel Destined.’ The reason for their plot appears to be the green emblem emblazoned on his chest. Luckily, their plans are thwarted by Ryoku, Captain William, and Anna, who are stranded in the world and also seek Kai’s help. There’s only one problem – Kai has never heard of the other worlds, or his own abilities.
His moniker as the Angel Destined is derived from his first love, Lisa, who referred to him as ‘an angel destined to me.’ He has no idea that it actually defers to the ability hidden within him to cross worlds at virtually no cost. There’s a lot more to his powers, but it’ll take him time to discover them.
In recent editions, some small points have changed about Kai. Most of them involve this particular character’s future, but one noteworthy one was changing his hair color from red to black, and the color of his gem from red to green. I made these changes to refer to some of Kai’s true nature.
Kai holds a very interesting skillset. Prior to joining the Glaciem Troupe, Kai painstakingly learned an array of survival skills with his father. He loathes to use them in all but the most dire situations. His swordplay is flashy, and he isn’t afraid to fight dirty. True to his nature, he shows strength in acting and things of a deceitful nature.
