It’s a lot earlier than I planned, but I really dug into the grind this month! Knowing I’m going back home for a few weeks and not likely to do a lot of editing, I worked my hardest to finish Ruinbound’s editing by the end of the year, and… it’s done!
This isn’t to say I’m completely done with Ruinbound and any editing changes, but it’s the biggest step. Any further editing will be done piece-by-piece; the page-by-page intensive part is done. This means that work on Book Four is starting now!
Some cool statistics:

It’s interesting to compare them like this. As you can see, Ruinbound was written to avoid Embers of Orden’s immense size, clocking in at over half the page and word counts. Interestingly, the page count is smaller than Akin Minds right now, but the word count a little higher.
There’s still a chance Ruinbound will change before its final submission, but I’ve accomplished the goal of making it closer to the size of Akin Minds.
A lot of projects are still on the way between now and Ruinbound’s Summer 2024 release date, so stay tuned for more announcements – and, before long, news on Book Four. If I can maintain this routine, you’ll be hearing news before long. For now, stay tuned!
